*** Class of 2016 National Achievement Scholarship ***

If I have a 204 in the State of Oklahoma, is it safe to assume that I achieved National Achievement Semi-Finalist status? I hope to be commended by National Merit as well…

If you’ve made the cut in previous years, which state are you from and what was your PSAT/class?

EX: MS 198 ('14)

I think you are safe. NA is by region, not state, and I believe a 204 has always been high enough in all regions.

Yes, I think anything over 200 is safe in any reason. congrats!!!

Are they going to do NA the same way next year? Someone on another post mentioned it would be administered by a different group.

I read too that I believe it’s the UNCF taking it over and will be for current college students and no longer high school students. Let me see if I can find the article.

Transition of the Program

The Nation Achievement Scholarship Program will undergo a transition after the conclusion of the 2015 program. NMSC is forging a new relationship with UNCF, the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization. UNCF will carry on the name and legacy of the National Achievement Scholarship Program through a newly designed program for college graduates. The new program, which will be administered by UNCF and underwritten by the National Achievement Scholarship Program, will honor and award financial assistance to high-achieving, underrepresented college graduate

… well, dang.

Looks like you might need over ~206 to get National Merit Semi-Finalist… but you’re Commended for sure.
