Questions for those experienced with National Achievement

A few years ago my daughter was a NMF and during that time I learned a lot about the wonderful college opportunities available for NMF's. I also learned that many students designated with National Achievement were given the same scholarship opportunities as NMF's were at certain schools.

I am a high school teacher and I have one student who will be National Achievement recognized later this month. I want to make sure she is fully aware of the different awards out there for National Achievement but I have a few questions. When she receives her letter this month will that be it in regards to her being a National Achievement Finalist? According to our guidance counselor NA students do not have any further things to do regarding the recognition unlike National Semi-merit students do, but I remember reading some posts with students asking about being notified about being a National Achievement Finalist in January, not September.

I basically am asking if being National Achievement recognized is the same thing as being a National Achievement Finalist.

Call nmcorp.

They are semifinalists first. Then become finalists. Similar to nmsf.f. I think their gpa is considered

Your student will have to take the SAT to confirm scores, just like with National Merit. There will also be an essay and packet for the school to fill out.

My older son was a finalist for both National Merit and National Achievement two years ago. The process was basically the same. My younger son (Class 2012) did not do as well on the PSAT but we still think he will be a National Achievement Finalist with a 204.
