^yes, you are seeing the EA acceptances, deadline was 11/15. Son applied late Oct.

I want to know so bad! I have been checking the site everyday like every hour haha

There doesn’t seem to be a pattern to whom has been notified yet and who has not. (Although admissions might actually have a method they are following it just isn’t obvious from this small sample.) Seems like there have been both in state and OOS admissions as well as admissions from a variety of majors. Timing doesn’t seem to make a difference either since D’s OOS EA application was actually in in mid-Oct ahead of several others that here that have been notified and it is still showing “complete and ready for review”. Perhaps not all states are created equal :-)

We’re early action also and I expected to hear Jan 15. It would be nice to hear relatively quickly! Not sure what the various release dates is all about, but I’ll just keep checking the website every few days.

Got a deferral letter in the mail today. Weird. I was told it’s a safety school but I guess not! I have a 26 ACT and a 2.8 GPA

^GPA a little low for it to be a safety for you. Who told you it was a safety for you?

It is for most, but I go to an independent school that barely ever gives out A’s. We’re one of “those” schools. I didn’t want the usual assortment of LACs on the East coast so my college counselor thought UNH would be a safety. Oh how wrong people can be…

dschur - I’m sorry you didn’t get good news. The gc have told us repeatedly that there is no such thing as a safety. Re-evaluate your choices with your parents and decide if you need to add in some other schools. I know some schools mostly in the south that may work for you - east carolina university (nc), old dominion university (va), christopher newport university (va), salisbury state (md), university of rhode island. You have a lot of choices.

My ds is still waiting to hear, and it is also in his “likely” admit group.

@dschur does your school have naviance? Naviance is usually a good judge of whether or not you will get into a particular college. If not there are websites such as ■■■■■■■■■■ that will give you an accurate ranking on your chances of being accepted.

I’m not too worried to be honest. I already got into Missouri which is a slam dunk safety. Literally, if your ACT is over a 24 you’re automatically accepted. I applied to Northeastern which is far more of a reach, but has a relationship with my school that UNH doesn’t have. Independent schools such as mine don’t really do too well with public ones out east such as UNH, or public ones in general. Oregon and Iowa rejected me, and I was told that even though I was eligible according to historical data, those are really "hot’ schools. If I end up at Mizzou I’d be happy. I’m still waiting from 7 colleges, so we will see!

I received my letter in the mail a little over a week ago for my Early Action application. I was accepted!

SAT: 1960
ACT: 30
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
Major: Undeclared Health and Human Services
State: NH

I got accepted into the Honors Program, and I received a normal size letter in the mail with one sheet of paper that said I was accepted and that also gave me my scholarship info, along with a small brochure. Good luck to all who are still waiting on letters!

My D got accepted at the beginning of December (12/1 online, letter arrived 12/3). She applied EA at the end of October. Admissions showed her file complete on 11/9.

ACT: 26
GPA: 3.9 (4.2 weighted)
Class Rank: Top 5%
APs: 5
Lots of ECs (3 varsity sports, music, work, volunteer)
Major: Nursing (!!!)
State: MA

She did get a scholarship and that info came with the acceptance letter. She is 99% sure she wants to go - as this was a tie for #1 choice for her and nursing is such a competitive major. Waiting to hear from her other top choice…

D received letter last week into school of nursing. Will be receiving Merit scholar letter within 10 days

Well hmmmph. I want our letter too! EA, sent app in 11/7, file complete 2 weeks later. This should be an admit, but you don’t know til you know.

My son’s letter makes no mention of merit aid. I am a bit surprised as he was offered 40,000 by UVM, which is a higher ranked school. Well, I guess they made the decision easy for us!

40,000 by UVM? I didn’t know they even did that. Congrats!

UVM has really increased their merit this year, good timing for us, thats for sure! (By 40,000 I mean 10K per year)

Ah, thanks for the clarification. But still, 10K/year at UVM is nothing to sneeze at these days. Congrats to all for their UNH admits!

What is UVM? I hear people talking about it all over and I can’t figure it out.

Hopefully s will hear before Christmas from UNH.

UVM is University of Vermont.
