I only transferred into my current highschool this year and geez I wasn’t ready for all these options they offered. I love it and hate it at the same time.
Am still dealing with course frustration, but my current made up schedule is
-Required Classes-
English: possibly Ap Lit
Social Studies: Ap Gov
Gym: Project Adventure, and either aerobics or jogging
-Electives-
Social Studies: Intro to Psych
Math: Pre Calc unless Calc Honors works out
Science: Forensics, Anatomy
Art: Animation…need an art elective to stay in the NAHS
Business: Communications
I haven’t gotten the okay yet for Ap Lit, but is the class worth it? I’ve never taken an Ap anything before and feel a little iffy about it. Right now I suck at writing but I’m seeing the class as a way to improve that.
Otherwise I’ll be taking Gothicism and Poetry for English.
Most likely:
-AP Calculus AB (School doesn’t offer BC )
-AP Spanish Language (or 7/8 which is equivalent to year 4.)
-AP Physics 2 (Highest available)
-AP Literature
-AP Government/AP Macroeconomics
-Studio/Jazz Singers 7/8 (Most Elite group of 16 lady singers )
-Track & Field
Really sucks I couldn’t get more STEM related AP’s overall since I plan to go into this field, but I guess it’s the price I pay for being an athletic choir nerd.
AP Psychology
Human Anotomy and Physiology
Intro to Programming
Ap calc AB but I might do business calculus if it’s slower pace than ap.
Ap lit, though I’m not 100% sure. DI’d any of you think this class was worth while?
Government semester 1 idk about semester 2 maybe drawing. If I don’t take Ap lit I’ll probably take Ap macroeconomics.
Now I have room for two more I’m deciding whether it’s smart to talk Ap euro with Ap psych, also my school only allows for two science max but I’m going to try and take Anatomy, what do I think I should do. I know that I want to study a science related major which would help me get to Ned school.
Any response would be very appreciated!
So plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me!!!
AP US Gov.
AP Psych.
AP Lit.
AP Calc. AB
Physics
Spanish 4
Economics
Public Speaking and Debate
Journalism
@hopeforthebest82 I think Psych is far easier than most people think, and Euro ended up being a lot of memorization for most of my friends, so I think you should go for it. I’m not passionate about STEM, but it seems pretty cool that you’re taking on both Bio and Chem. (:
AP Physics C (or Honors, depends on my petition)
English 12
AP Computer Science
Chinese I Honors (if not, a 2nd semester history elective)
AP Calculus AB
AP Spanish Literature
This depends if my petitions are accepted or not. I hope they are.
They cancelled AP Chemistry at my school. Here’s what my updated schedule looks like:
AP Lit
AP Stats
AP Comp Sci Principles
AP Phycology
AP Physics 1
AP Comparative Gov. or AP Microeconomics (Independent Study-if I get approval)
Spanish 4
Marketing/Sales & Advertising
I’m taking:
AP English Lit
AP Physics C
AP Computer Science A
AP Statistics
Gov/Econ
Some elective (not sure yet, but it’ll probably end up being another English course)
Marching Band
My schedule that is not set in stone yet is AP psychology - Currently in regular psych right now AP literature AP biology Statistics and financial math Orchestra. I haven’t figured out the classes I’m taking online yet since I’m a part time cyber student. But I’m pretty sure AP psychology ,financial math , and sociology is going to be some of them.
Hi! I’m trying to decide whether or not to take a math course-I plan on taking AP Econ senior year, and I’m taking APBC Calc this year, and took AP Statistics last year. The only math course left that our school offers is Multivariable Calculus, which is a pretty rigorous course. I’m looking into Ivies, but I don’t want my GPA to tank. Any advice?
My schedule is going to be:
IB Math Studies SL
IB 20th Century Topics
IB Biology HL2
IB English
Either UHS Sociology or IB Psychology (I’d be lucky if I had room for both, but I doubt it)
And than if I have any free space I’d like to take Literature of the Abnormal Mind (kind of a combination psych and English class) and Horror Fiction and Film. They’re both half year electives so they’d only take up one period in my schedule. I’m also interested in taking another IB elective or UHS elective.
