I hope I’m doing this correctly - this is my first post on CC!

So, I go to a high school in rural Michigan that is absolutely terrible. We offer exactly one AP class and I can’t take it because of scheduling conflicts. I’ve taken the most advanced classes available to me (Advanced Biology being the one with the most obvious title). My classes for next year are: Advanced Chemistry, Senior English, Spanish 4, Physics, Pre-Calculus, and a 2-hour Accounting internship for school credit. I’ve had another internship for two years, I’m the Lay Leader of my church, I’ve been secretary of my Key Club since my freshman year, a student council rep since freshman year, I founded a Dance Marathon to raise money for pediatric oncology, and I’ve been secretary, publicist, and treasurer for Youth in Government. I also was my school’s representative at Michigan Girls State this summer. My GPA is 3.817, my ACT score is 32, and I got a 730 on my Literature SAT Subject Test.

Do I have any chance at all? I feel confident about my admissions essays, if that makes any difference.

Also, I had a 4.0 until I got sick my sophomore year and missed an entire semester of school, though I kept up with my work as best as I could from home & the hospital. I plan on mentioning that somewhere in my application -will that make any difference? It did affect my grades.

Thank you so much!
