Class of 2018 Financial Aid/Awards Package??

Has anyone already received the FA package (mail or email) from PSU? It's already mid-March...

Any information is appreciated! Thx!!

no man, I’ve been checking on elion everyday they better hurry up so I can decide whether to pay my deposit or not!

SAME HERE! @sukiiii

Last month, I received a renewable merit scholarship of $4,000 per year.
I am an OOS student from California & qualify for no need-based aid, however.

My D financial aid package is available now, even through the website says they will not be available until March 27

Son’s is available now–not much.

its on the website. they go out tomorrow.

16,000 penn state scholarship not much but it’s something

16k is great — are you OOS ?

@135pipe- that is awesome! Is there a name of the scholarship?

Yeah. 16k is a lot.
I got nothing at all and i’m OOS and my EFC was just about 12000

My S just got his award. Scholarships total about 8k. Renaissance, Provost, and Burton Waller.

Provost scholarship total 16k

Congrats to all who received awards! Were any of these not for UP? We got a letter from Harrisburg yesterday saying their scholarship notifications go out after April 1. However, the financial aid package came today with no mention of scholarship. I was wondering are there 2 separate notifications for the branch campuses?

My S was accepted to UP, his scholarships were in his financial aid package that included loans and government grants. There was not a separate notification for scholarships.

Congrat to all!

Got 14,000 OOS. Not enough at all to us:( Bye PSU!

@YammyNug. Why did you apply here? You got way above average aid from the school - what were you expecting?!?!?

@Dreadpirit I’m OOS and got better offer, although PSU is very good and I like their engineering program.
hope that sounds reasonable:)

Also, I’m poor! :frowning:

@YammyNug

Weren’t you poor before you applied to PSU?

My point is they offered you more money than you should have expected based on what they usually give - if getting that much more than most people wasn’t going to be enough, you should have thought about that before you applied.

@Dreadpirit
LOL. It’s not like I’m so poor that I knew I couldn’t afford it but still applied- it’s just because I got other better offers. PSU still costs much more than my other schools’ offers.
Also, I’m doing the comparison among my own offers and DIDN’T MEAN TO COMPARE MINE WITH “MOST PEOPLE’S.” Please consider everyone individually. What “MOST PEOPLE” got from PSU has nothing to do with my own financial situation and what I consider “enough”.
Hope that makes sense.
