Has anyone heard back on a submitted FAFSA yet?

not me…

nop…

The packages will be available online Wednesday. We were at an admitted students day a few days ago. They told us we should receive an email Tuesday night to check our eLion on Wednedsay.

thanx!!! :)

:D:D thnx man…

My report just showed up, and I am getting very little. I am really hoping I win the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship so I do not have to worry about how I am going to come up with $24,000 for tuition next year.

or can we still hope they are adding till Wed. only show the two 5500 loans…OOS so really hard considering I got 1/2 tuition at others but really love penn state. I am hoping I see more later…since it seems a work in progress and no email yet.

I got mine today, the subsidized and unsubsidized loans for about $1,250 a piece and work study.

whale18- same here!

Same loans at Penn State
Same 1/2 tuition at other oos

Penn State is probably out… :(

So when are they going to put all of the information ? I checked my lion right now and my total aid is $7,500 is that it ? Does anybody know when you get notified about scholarship because I applied for one for the college of engineering ?

Thanks for the heads up, everyone…looks like the children in this family will be “full pay” if they choose PSU.

Just tried to check on eLion. There was a problem, so I called and it won’t be fixed until tomorrow AM. oh, well.

Don’t be surprised if your financial aid package is just loans. That’s Penn State.

^^^
And not loans from PSU or PA, but Federal Stafford Loans. That’s just Penn State and Pennsylvania.

Yes, godgiven, I think that is all. I wish there were more coming, but I don’t think that’s the case.

My son only got a very small loan - glad we are in-state for Penn State. Now he must decide between PSU and UDel

I encourage everyone to try and remain optimistic about the financial aid. Some college’s may still be awarding small scholarships to their students. Also, as you progress at Penn State you become eligible for additional scholarships through both the University and individual colleges.

^^
That sounds very upbeat. What can the average student expect from PSU as they advance and become eligible for “additional” scholarships?

My ds applied for a freshman engineering scholarship and hasn’t heard anything from them but there is nothing listed on the financial aid summary - is that it or do you really think there may be a dept/school scholarship not yet awarded? I’m not very optomistic!

Also, some well-meaning friends tell us to challenge fin aid with what ds was awarded from other public u’s - does that really work, specifically at PSU? Ds did get merit from Pitt and nothing from PSU - would PSU care at all?
