@cantooo, now that I actually look at the majors in physical sciences…I have no clue… I hope if he get selected [very slim chance] he could change the departments within L&S.

There is Environmental Science… it would be nice to do that with a minor in CS. All sort of possibilities if one gets in.

How does the major effect your admissions? I know engineering is impacted and they SAY that within L&S your major doesn’t matter but would applying for a rather obscure and unpopular major like Global studies which is what I applied for help me? Because all of my ECs and even one essay focussed on that major.

@tulakat I would think not. You have the same chance as every other student applying to L&S as they accept w/o regard to major. It’s very good that all your ECs are related to it though, shows passion. Wish I had done that but then again, I’m still not set on my major. Anyways good luck! Hope we all get in.

@2018dad, I realized that later. It looks to me that UCLA computer science program is very small with no opportunities for doing a minor. Good luck to all tomorrow!

Hey guys, I believe the decisions are coming out today? Any idea what time? And sorry if this question has been answered earlier in the forum, I haven’t read the entire thing

@RishabhJindal - just in case your didn’t read it in the other threads, decisions come out this evening Pacific time on the portal. Last year, that was 5:30PM PDT. Of course, it could be a bit earlier or later this year. A lot of people are saying check in around 5PM PDT. Good luck!
