Class of 2019 application and acceptance thread!

So far I’ve heard of a couple applicants who were told by MSU to change their senior year schedule. I’ve never heard this before . Can someone please explain it? Why do they need to change courses? Are they missing certain required credits or does MSU want to see harder courses or something else?

I got accepted today!
Applied 9/9/14 accepted 11/7/14
3.9 GPA UNW 26 ACT
Can’t wait to see you all there this fall!

Fantastic!! Congratulations! Any declared major? I was told by the head of recruiting for engineering to put down your deposit right away so you can get your choice of orientation dates. I already did that. My son plans to live in Wilson Hall for the CORE residential engineering experience. Starting this year you can choose which residence hall you want to live in! nice!

My major is communication because I want to be a speech pathologist. I’ll do the deposit this weekend. It’s $250, right? I still have no idea where to live!

Applied 10/29

I am a year ahead of my grade in Math (calc 2), social studies and science because of a move from another school)

Congratulations!
How did you find out? Online or a letter in the mail?

I got an email saying my application status had been updated and it said I was accepted when I logged on! I’ve got to believe a letter is coming as well.

Applied 10/31. Notified of acceptance 11/12 into MSU & Broad.
3.1 U/W, 3.9 W (I know, low GPA with 11 AP/Honors classes @ a competitive school).
25 ACT.
4 Years of Academic Team, Golf and Student Council.
4 Year Honor Roll.
Job at a country club.
I believe my essay is what really excelled my application.

Can’t wait to see who else is in!

@KingLancer‌ I thought broad was for juniors and seniors?

My letter says I have been admitted to my business-preference. On the majors website it says formal admission is granted when I’m a junior. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

.

My portal said that I need to send my 7th semester grades. Does that mean I don’t have a good chance at getting in? Should I call the office of admissions to ask what I need to do to get in?

I got accepted 8 days after I sent in the app (on 10/31). 34 ACT and 4.0 GPA. Obviously a safety but I’m really interested in the PA program and the Honors College.

Applied Oct 31st
Deferred today :frowning:
Unweighted GPA 3.2
ACT 24
I’m not filled with EC, I did Mock Trial and I’m in a leadership/mentor program where upperclassmen mentor freshman
My curriculum is extremely college prep
This year I’m taking AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, AP English lit., Adv. Bio., then Art and Tv Productions to fulfill my Applied Arts credit
I have All As and Bs this year, as well as in my Freshman and Sophmore year. The only thing is my junior year I did really bad because of some circumstances that weren’t reflected in my application. If it matters any, my sophmore year I doubled up on math just for the challenge and because my teacher wanted me to (geometry and algebra 2). Also, in my junior year I doubled up on science (Chemistry and Physics).

They asked me to send in my transcript from this semester, and do a student inventory (by the way a couple of those questions were a bit scary  ).

I’m worried that I won’t get it, or that I will get accepted for Spring 2015, rather than Fall 2015.
Can anyone give insight on how they will evaluate me, as in, do they have a pool of deferred applicants I’m compared to, or is it their applicant pool as a whole? Do you think I have good chances of being accepted?
