Class of 2019 Boston College Early Action

Just got my deferral letter in NY… No portal change :(

@DcMoon34‌ yep portal changed this morning.

Can anyone who was accepted see their financial aid information on the portal? The letter said that it will be posted today but I can’t see mine. It just says “ALERT: We cannot find any Financial Aid data for Aid Year 2014-2015 or beyond. Please contact Student Services at 1-800-294-0294 with any issues” and “You currently do not have an award notification to view. Please check your financial aid application status at Application Status to determine if any application requirements are still outstanding.”

@wishbunni I heard about PSP today, my letter was in my admission decision

Can anybody tell me what the change will look like on the portal? Does it offer everyone a “non-refundable Enrollment confirmation”? or is that the change that everyone is referring to?

Oh wow congrats @ky2015! If you don’t mind me asking, what was it like? Did it have anything about the number of admitted students this year? I thought I would be offered it but I wasn’t. 8( What are your stats like?

@crhomberg21 what does your portal look like now that you’ve gotten accepted?

@SuTu69‌ Yes, that is the change everyone is referring to.

@SuTu69‌ In addition to having F and P tabs on the home screen, when you click on “applicant status” it directs you to a window which says, “If you have not previously submitted your non-refundable Enrollment Confirmation and Housing Guarantee fees, please click here to do so,” followed by options to withdraw and defer.

@wishbunni, thank you! The letter did not specify any numbers, just that I was a finalist. I applied to biochemistry.
34 ACT, 1/135 rank, challenging courses, very involved with leadership positions, 2 sport varsity athlete, lots of community service, and independent research. My awards are strong with national and international science awards and national Spanish awards.

oh sweet! i have those! Thank you so much!

accepted to the CAS :)

Got my acceptance in the mail today (PA) For those of you who got deferred, do not give up, there is still time. And for everyone else, I bet you guys are fantastic people that will find a perfect college  good luck!!

@ky2015, wow you’re a really competitive applicant! They weren’t lying when they said there were a lot of great applicants to choose from. I also applied to Biochemistry with a 2320 SAT and 1/292 ranking…but my awards definitely pale in comparison to yours. Are you applying anywhere else? I’m really scared about the competition this year haha and I’m applying to a bunch of other ivies + Stanford.

Shocked by some of the decisions I am seeing here–BC appears to be especially sporadic this year. In one sense, I commend them for that–doesn’t appear as though they’re looking for a class of perfect ACTs, rather some good diversity. Congrats to all those who got in, and best of luck to those deferred.

S was accepted with a 34 ACT, top 10% of class, and great ECs/ essays. As of now, I think he’ll be attending a certain Catholic school in the middle of nowhere in the MW, but I’m trying my best to convert him to the good side. Regardless, couldn’t be prouder.

Out of curiosity–anybody accepted to both ND and BC that will be choosing BC?

Got acceptance and portal changed last night and tabs this morning

How could he be accepted to both nd and BC aren’t they both single choice ea?

I want to apply to CSOM with a 3.6 GPA UW 4.0 W 31 ACT, amazing essay as I have been told, NHS, Spanish NHS, Tutoring in calculus and Spanish, Hospital internship, Naval engineering internship, FBLA President and founder of chapter, student govt., etc. My brother also just graduated two years ago. Should I bother applying to CSOM or should I stick to A&S for econ?

You can apply anywhere early action, but not early decision, which ND doesn’t have.
