Class of 2019 Boston College Early Action

I’m so nervous for this! I know the popular belief is that Boston College prefers “strong” applicants to apply for EA, but I feel like it would be harder to get in regular decision, because that’s when all the ivy rejects start to apply, which makes the applicant pool harder/more competitive

if i didn’t fill out the css profile before the deadline am i screwed for financial aid??

^^not at all. But if you are accepted EA, you will not receive notification of any possible financial aid until you submit the financial aid app. But note, even those that submitted Profile by Nov 1 will only receive a provisional award, since final financial aid awards are based on 2014 tax forms, which won’t be processed until the spring.

awesome thank you! i was stressing so much!

how is everyone feeling?! probably about two weeks until we find out! yay!!!

pretty nervous but just as excited… @bchopeful‌03. I applied to college of arts and sciences, since BC is my reach! I didn’t want to sabotage my chances by applying to CSOM, even though that school interested me most. I have a 3.68 UW/4.24 W GPA, and 29 ACT. What are your guy’s stats?

very nervous but equally excited @bchopeful03‌! I applied to CAS, since CSOM was too much of a reach for me even though it interested me most. I have a 3.68 UW/4.23 W GPA, 29 ACT. What are your guys stats? (If you don’t mind sharing, of course)

The fact that I haven’t received any communication from BC, has me really nervous. Hopefully, I’m not the only one. Basic stats 3.7 UW GPA, 2170 SAT

Why couldn’t they just use the portal like most colleges, it would save time lol.

old school?

I don’t know how I’m going to stand waiting for my regular decision schools…this is so nerve wracking haha.
And stats: 94.40 UW GPA (not sure what that translates to on a 4.0 scale) and 2160 SAT.

Yup old school is right lol. Fortunately I’m in NYC so it should only take a couple days to get here

I’m sooooo nervous :frowning: I have a 33 act and a 3.9 but i can’t help but freak out…

Anxiously awaiting as well! Not my top choice because of money, but still would be extremely honored to get in. I have 2080 SAT and a 32 ACT with a 3.9 UW GPA. Hopeful to get a business admit because I know their ranked so well.

I have a 4.35 (W) (school doesn’t do ranking or UW) and a 2260 SAT with 750 Bio E and 790 USH for subject tests. My extracurriculars are pretty solid as well. Any idea what my chances might be for EA? @disprincess I have no idea where you’re ranked in general, but those are some awesome scores, especially for UW

Wow my anxiousness gets worse reading this thread… 2000 SAT & 3.9W and I applied to CSOM, I better start praying lol

My stats are 3.7UW and 34 ACT, applied to CSOM… really nervous, BC is my #1.

Any idea when we’ll start getting admissions decisions?

@LosingSanity‌ historically, BC starts sending decisions the third Monday of December, so likely December 15th. So we will start receiving the 16th/17th

Are there any Early Action applicants applying to LSOE? I’ve seen almost all CSOM or CAS applicants in these threads.
