Class of 2019 Boston College Early Action

@njkid2197‌ I am way below their standards 1900 SAT / 29 ACT / 3.7 GPA / only 2 AP classes . It would bascially be a pity acceptance if they allowed me into their prestigous school! So im not even letting myself get my hopes up but if i do get in then anything, and i mean ANTHING, is possible from here on out.

@losingsanity thanks! My ranking isn’t as high as I’d like. :frowning: I’m in the top 10% of my class but am the 9th%, so just cutting it. It does help that I go to the most competitive high school in my area. Also forgot to mention I sent a US History subject test: 730 and a Spanish Language subj test: 640. The Spanish is low, but I hadn’t taken AP yet at the time.

Check portal

Does the portal say anything, I don’t know my ID so I cant sign in

@Coolkid999, why? There’s nothing there and there won’t be until everyone has their letters in the mail.

When I clicked on applicant status, it went to a page about an enrollment deposit

I know they don’t post admission decisions online, but my portal changed and it says:
"If you have not previously submitted your non-refundable Enrollment Confirmation and Housing Guarantee fees, please click here to do so.

If you would like to withdraw your admission, please submit the Admission Withdrawal Form.

If you would like to postpone your enrollment, please submit the Admission Deferment Request.

The completion of this transaction may take 24 hours to complete processing through the Boston College systems. Please feel welcome to call the Undergraduate Admission Office (617-552-3100 or 800-360-2522) if you experience technical problems.

Sincerely,
Boston College Admission"

…I assume this means I got in!

Could be a fluke though

Well, it certainly sounds like it could be good news for a few here!

well my portal hasn’t changed, I guess its a no go for me. Congrats everyone who got in XD!!!

yeah same here, my portal hasn’t changed. I don’t know if it’s right to assume that this means we are definitely rejected/deferred, but I am losing hope. Who else saw a portal change referring to enrollment?

No portal change for me

I didn’t get a portal change either… :frowning: losing all hope

None for me but Im not sure if that means anything.

nope

To everyone else that didn’t get a change: It doesn’t look like a majority did as of now (maybe they switched it back or corrected it; it was a fluke either way). Don’t freak out over it, it likely doesn’t reflect your admission/rejection/deferral if you didn’t see it. Just wait until letters are mailed.

I honestly think it was just some fluke, all my friends that I talked to who are applying didn’t have a portal change. We should wait until we get our letters before jumping to conclusions

Well I guess we’ll know for sure in a week or so.

@jaredstone4‌ , did your portal revert to it’s original state or is that part about enrolling still there?

Just don’t worry, guys. Really. We still have about a week before decisions come.

@Anduar3‌ I just checked again and the portal has reverted to the original state
