WE BEGIN TO HEAR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 15TH THROUGH POSTAL MAIL

@JennaMicheal I am curious…how did you get that update?

@cellomom7 You can admissions questions through their tumblr page and that was their answer.

@JennaMicheal What a great resource. Thanks. Good luck to all!

So do you guys think if we aren’t accepted we’ll just get emails saturday?

@Jbandy Nope. AU does not use email to give admissions decisions. If you are not accepted, you will just receive a small letter instead of a packet on the same day either way.

Dang that’s a lot of mail for them. And a lot of stress for us.

Dang. That’s a lot of mail for them and a lot of stress for us.

ED decisions are being mailed out next Thursday!

Ugh I was hoping to get them earlier than that.

This may seem like a silly question, but when I visited the campus, I just drove through and walked around on my own. I want to put “visited campus” as a contact on my common app, but I don’t want them to think I’m lying. What should I do?

I would say that you visited on the common app and then email your admissions counselor to let him or her know that although it wasn’t a formal visit, you did visit on your own and you didn’t want to cause any confusion since you’re saying that you visited and they don’t have anything saying that you did

Will we be able to see it via our student portals? My friend just got into Vandy and that’s how he saw.

No just through mail. A friend of mine also got into Vanderbilt and heard through their portal but AU just sends letters.
Good Luck!

Thanks! You too.

When will we start to get calls/ which admissions counselors call students?

Honesty I don’t know if you should expect calls this year. They have made it very clear on their tumblr that letters will be sent out and have dismissed questions about calls as being not an “official” way of receiving your decisions. Mail will be sent out Thursday!! Best of luck to you!

OK thanks!

Do they defer people for ED? Or is it just acceptance or denial?

@Jbandy it’s just acceptance or denial
