Skyped with my daughter this evening and she is taking a technical theater class this semester and told me all about the power tools she is learning to use…and she won the hammering contest! Guess I know what she will be doing if the acting thing doesn’t pan out

Sorry guys- didn’t mean to bring the thread down earlier. I am considering going out for the Olympic team in “defending life choices”, so have to keep training at all times. Interesting though- a number of people in my world who have been full of negative things to say about D’s major, the expense/viability of a BFA in general, etc were whistling a different tune when D’s BFA group went to a performance of “the River” last week and had a talk back with Hugh Jackman…
I know, right? With whom do we lodge our complaint? And sorry @pghmusician but you seemed more worried about saving your throne than having drinks. And I kept a very low profile at Unifieds @addicted. Did some major nothing at Unifieds. It was relaxing. They actually had decent wine by the glass too. It was not cheap however. And I don’t think I saw one Merlot on the menu.

I’ve always wanted to use this one, but it seemed rude at appropriate moments. (
8-} As we are on an emoticon roll, let’s see if this one works. It exemplifies my state of being these days. I go from, “OMG, I didn’t realize it’s 2/9 already! Decisions will be here before we know it!” to “Gah, I bet decisions will drag and not come in for at least 4-6 weeks, or even later in case of WL even though I’ll be checking the mailbox/email/D’sUnivSite daily just-in-case.” (imagine a margarita emoticon here…)

Those who heard from CCM… How were you notified?
CCM was a letter… rejection came very quickly after audition (8 days or so???).

No from Penn State. Not a major heartbreak but makes me fear for the rest of my decisions.
^^A rejection doesn’t indicate how the other schools will go for you. With such low acceptance rates, EVERYONE is going to get some rejections. It is part of the process. You only need one acceptance.
