Sorry to hear that, @KaMaMom. Every year there are reports of some schools sending these insensitively-worded rejection letters. I often wonder who it is who crafts these letters and also whether or not the program directors/heads know what is being sent out. It’s tough enough for these kids to get a no letter, let alone one that is worded like this.
Some people have no class @KaMaMom. They need someone with better communication skills to write those letters, not insensitive, pretentious person(s)
Flabbergasted! We got some REALLY bad redirect letters and one somewhat insensitive “no”, but that truly takes the cake!
Her response should be:
Dear MT Program,
While I wish we could bring you better news, I can only choose to attend one BA/BFA program. When making this decision I must determine whether a school demonstrates the necessary training to ensure that after I spend thousands of dollars they have done their best to partner with me and encourage me to achieve all of the degree requirements successfully. You sir, are NOT that school.
Now is when I would unleash a bunch of swear words, but CC would only change them!
Last rejection today!
Thinking of all of you today as we head to PPU. Wishing all of you great success.
