Hey, class of 2019! Here’s a thread for all of us to post our sophomore schedules if we’d like, and give each other advice if needed. Have fun!
To start off, here’s my proposed schedule for next year:
English 2 Honors
AP Calc AB
AP World History
Physics Honors
Spanish 3
Computer Tech (awesome class where we learn about computer engineering!)
Orchestra
I’m considering taking AP Stats online as well (I love math!), but idk, we’ll see…
In order of what I’m most excited for to least:
AP Bio
H Chem
H German 3
H Algebra 2
H English 2
H String Orchestra
Personal Finance (semester)
PE 2 (semester)
I’m really excited for next year
Why don’t we post other stuff, too?
Tests and competitions:
PSAT, October
SAT, ???
SAT subject tests: Bio M and German, probably June
AP Bio, May
Practice ACT, October
ACT, ???
Midstate Auditions, January
USABO, February (?)
USAAAO, idek when that is
Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, TMTA, NACLO, MTSUCLO, etc., etc.
ABS
ECs:
Job
Climbing
Mostly just a lot of competitions apparently
Hard to believe frosh years over already
Next year I’m taking…
English II H
Algebra II H
Chem H
AP USH
Latin II H
French IV H
Baking and pastry arts
That’s all I really have planned for soph year atm
Mine has been getting changed around a lot, and I won’t really know how the second semester will play out exactly until the spring o.0
Fall/Spring
Spanish III
Calculus I/CalculusII
Chemistry
Digital Art and Painting
World History
English 10
Principles of Engineering (PLTW)
study period/Possibly Physics at CC
Considering self-studying AP Psych (cuz it’s cool) and AP Calc BC (to give my Calc credit some more credence)
My counselor got freaked out by my schedule (“Calculus?!”) and thought I’d need the resource!
I might, but I think it’d more likely be used for PoE and World History >.>;
If I end up not needing it, I’ll have the option of adding on another CC class! This’ll be a cool opportunity to work on my time management.
H Precalc/trig
H Algebra II
AP Euro
H English 10
H Chemistry
Web Design
Computer Tech
Spanish II
And last and definitely my least favorite class will be health class
Some of my friends will already be taking Calculus AB, while I am in preCalculus.
Anybody have any tips for AP Euro. I am really nervous.
AP European History
AP Physics 1
Algebra 2 Honors
English 10 Honors
Chemistry
Spanish III
Physical Education
Health (completed over summer)
I am also an officer in Model United Nations, maybe in student council (if I get elected tomorrow), in the fall play and spring musical, and on the math club as the top scorer (I love math).
@northeastgirl24 I wish that my school had fun courses like baking and pastry!
Next year’s schedule (hopeful, can’t schedule yet):
Semester 1:
Data Analysis 1
Numerical Analysis
Calc-based Stats or Advanced Probability
French 1 or Spanish 1
Music II (choir, piano)
Semester 2:
Data Analysis 2
Partial Differential Equations
French 2 or Spanish 2
something else maths or sequel to Advanced Probability
Music II (choir, piano)
(note: summer schedule is: biology - almost done, US History II - starts Tuesday, English/Composition - ongoing, and possibly Early Music Appreciation - starts Tuesday)
Algebra 2-H
AP US History
English 2-H
Chemistry-H
Latin 2-H
Comp Sci-Java
My school only offers 1 AP class sophmore year.
These are probably the most significant tests I’ll take this year: PSAT, APUSH exam, SAT Chem, SAT Math 2, and maybe the actual SAT in june, so I can get it over with before junior year (if I do well that is).
Oh goodness, I thank the stars I don’t have AP Calc!
AP Human Geography
AP Physics 1
Pre-Calculus AB
AP Biology
AP European History
AP English Language
Spanish 3
