I found this interesting. If I’m reading these figures correctly, only about 1/3 of the incoming freshman class is from Texas. Normally, this is more like 1/2.
After looking harder at the accompanying graphic, it looks like international students are included in out-of-state, which would put the percentage of students from Texas at about 42.7%, only a small decrease from the norm.
The standardized test scores reported in that piece are for the “admitted class” rather than the “entering class.” I wonder to what extent those two figures might differ.
