3000+. There is a reason why these scholarships are so coveted…
@theshark, U said that they have 45 for Rodriguez scholarship . If other scholarships also call proportionally then 3000+ does not sound right
For those who got a call, did you hear about getting anything in the mail??
It sounds like they plan on calling all applicants, finalists or not, hence 3000+
It is my understanding that only 40 are chosen for Danforth. Not sure about the others.
@Ceciliaagnes seems kinda harsh to call applicants to tell them they didn’t receive a scholarship… not to mention how much time that would waste too.
What is the method of alerting people?
Are they doing it randomly or are they going by scholarship?

@Dolemite Good luck to your daughter! I love reading your posts, and your “sensing a pattern” comment made me crack up. I hope your daughter ends up in a great situation (and I am sure she will considering her qualifications) but after all these months of reading your posts, I couldn’t help but mention that your sense of humor about this whole process helps me keep going as a parent and makes me smile most days!
@TheShark, are there specified hours which calls are being made. I’m assuming it’s only in the evening, not during the school day, right?
Is the Rodriguez scholarship primarily awarded to Latino applicants?
@llw333 no it is a diverse program, there is not really any preference. For instance, my family is from Punjab, India.
I just got off the phone; I’ve been given a Langsdorf Scholarship! They said the portals will be updated tomorrow.

Congratulations @JemmaSimmons! Will the portal be updated tomorrow for financial scholarships only? There is no word about University Medical Scholars as if yet. It seems that may be tomorrow.

@rsmith0208 Yes, I got the call at 8 CST, 9 EST. He actually said he was calling from a traffic jam in D.C., which means EST for my specific circumstance.
