I haven’t heard back either!! Everything was submitted by August 22nd! Very nervous! I am a legacy, 3.9 GPA, 1090 SAT. 3 time DECA state qualifier, DECA officer, and raised 1,500 for MDA. Involved in Key Club, Pep Club, NHS, Student Government, 200+ service hours, YAC and I’ve also worked part time. I also had two letters of recommendation!!

@MoTownBlues You can leave the UIC code blank. We will usually have it on your transcripts and can fill it in later.
Can you give me an idea on time frame for applications sent in the week of 8/23?
I don’t think they are accepting/rejecting people in order of when they applied. My D applied that week as well and hasn’t heard yet, however, friends of hers with better GPA/ACT scores were already accepted when they sent their information in just a few weeks ago. I think it boils down to your stats but I could be wrong. Good Luck
@di74caza I applied October 17th and haven’t heard back…I emailed the admissions office directly and said only the super high GPA and SAT/ACT scores have heard back…it goes by that. So my GPA was 3.625 and SAT was 1160. They said I “…should be hearing back shortly…”, which you should too.
Thank you!
Does anyone know when MSU notifies students about being awarded any merit scholarships?
^^^
I was told they give out merit based aid through February. In the meantime, you can pay the deposit and proceed with admission steps. If you decide not to go there, they will refund your money.
My son has a wGPA of 4.5 and SAT 1590, national merit scholar, leadership positions in high school along with athletics and volunteer experiences… We expect some merit based aid, but have not been happy with MSU’s responsiveness and recruiting in comparison to other comparable colleges. Also, disappointed in the lack of investment in technology, for example, they don’t have wifi in all the dorms, and no a/c. It makes me wonder if MSU is on the decline.
I just realized I’m posting under the wrong school and this website will not allow me to delete the posts. Please ignore my other two comments as they do not apply to Michigan State.
Have you heard anything yet? I’m nervous
@itsjoannalynn when did you apply?
August 22nd!
