Sorry to spam, but have any of you seen the financial aid package as accepted? I don’t know if I should be worried.
Question for those who are accepted with merit scholarship: is your merit scholarship info stated in the acceptance letter or is it shown somewhere else like Esther?

For rejection letters did yours say: “We take seriously your choice to apply to Rice, and your application received a thorough, holistic review. For this reason our decision is final, and we are unable to consider appeals of any kind. ” or does Rice really not want me that badly?

Can folks also post the school/major for which they were accepted/rejected/waitlisted ? It will be easier to gauge how competitive admissions are that way.
My D got waitlisted for Biology. 1570 SAT 3.98 UW.
@fun1234 I wondered about that, but we submitted all they asked for, including an IRA transcript in Feb. Unless they need something above and beyond what they’ve asked for so far.
God help me if we’re full pay. And of course we can’t call until Monday.

DD admitted to Rice. No financial awards posted in Esther - I get this error “This page is not enabled for current user role(s).” Never submitted any financial documents as we figured need based is out of question. Does “merit” scholarship get posted in Esther as well?

ECs: Volunteer, church, family responsibilities, clubs (ethics, interact)
Hooks: URM (maybe? I’m Asian), low-income, first-gen
It’s sad, but I’m okay. I believe my test scores weren’t good, so I got rejected. What can I do? I never practiced the SAT or ACT. Meanwhile, I got accepted to a college where I have to pay $0. It is all grants and a bit of work study. NO LOANS. There are going to be colleges and universities that accept you.
