Class of 2024 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Has anyone heard YES from Hartt? I auditioned at Chicago unifides and know that a lot of people have received decisions from both NY unifides and Chicago unifides. I don’t know if these were acceptances or denials. Also, I received an email from Ball State yesterday basically stating that the head of the department enjoyed my audition. I don’t know if it means anything. Has anyone heard anything from Ball State yet? I auditioned at NY unifides.

@Stress19372919 This probably doesn’t answer your question really but my daughter who auditioned for Hartt at LA Unifieds received a rejection today. She auditioned for Ball at NYC Unifeds and was rejected for BFA MT and was offered to join BA Theatre within two weeks of her audition. I know they say no news is good news…many programs send rejections before acceptances. Good luck!

Thank you! I’m hoping it’s a good thing considering how much I love both of these schools  good luck to you and your daughter!!!

Hartt is pretty quick to send out their definite “no” decisions, and sends all acceptances through regular mail in what the admissions guy described as “a really pretty envelope that opens like a puzzle so students can share the special moment with their families.” So if you’ve not heard anything from Hartt yet, no news might be good news and he said he wanted to have everything wrapped up before he left for vacation on March 1.

Did anyone happen to hear from CCM Faculty directly how their decision and notification process works? I’m so curious about their process! It seems so different than every other school.

University of Arizona MT started making acceptance phone calls today.

@SingerDancerMom not sure how to ask this, but about when did the phone call come? and congrats!

@SingerDancerMom - not sure how this works because we didn’t apply to CCM but my d has a very good male friend who auditioned at NY Unifieds he thought it went well and hasn’t heard anything. I have heard in general that with rolling admissions sometimes schools don’t immediately waitlist - so no news may be good news - they put out their yeses and nos and then they keep a small pile in the dark until they finish their auditions and then come out with an answer. Do you know how many CCM takes?

CCM accepts 20-22.

@SingerDancerMom my daughter auditioned on Saturday at CCM which was the last day of auditions. I can share what we were told during the Q&A. CCM aims to have a class of 20-22, and they make about 40 offers to yield that amount. They also have a waitlist. He said that we would hear in one to two weeks since we were the last audition. Their accepted students weekend is the first weekend in March, so all decisions will be made before then. It seems that some decisions were sent out in the last few days, but I do not think that anyone from Saturday has heard yet, and I have heard of others who auditioned before Saturday who are still waiting.

Thank you @Trinimom . My daughter auditioned in NY and has heard nothing at all. I know of others in our situation too. Guessing that’s a good thing though. Not a “No”, so…going with it’s a good thing.

@Stress19372919, My daughter received as yes from Hartt. She auditioned in early December and her admission letter was dated Jan 31 (but she didn’t receive it until a few days after that), so it did take awhile.

She also received the same letter from Ball State. I am interpreting it as they are interested in her, but I’m not assuming it will mean an offer.

@SingerDancerMom - D’s friend auditioned for Arizona - how did that work time-wise from audition to acceptance? TIA

email notification for waitlisting at Montclair

That’s awesome! Congratulations! My D auditioned in Chicago but it was a no.

@SingerDancerMom when did your child audition for UofA? My daughter auditioned on campus last weekend. No word yet.

@NeensMom My S auditioned for UofA in late November and got his phone call yesterday afternoon.

Any IU acceptances yet? We are looking at the portal and it seems like an acceptance to MT, but it isn’t super clear. Just want to be sure we are interpreting it correctly.

@ElizaDoolittle What portal are you referring to? Accepted? Something else?
