D got Trustee at 17k
Just wondering if there are any international student who received a merit decision today. Does anybody know?
Seems a little strange. She has almost all honors classes and a few APs (school doesnāt offer that many). So for the recalculation to drop either of them off the chart completely is confusing. Hopefully they can clarify in January.
Pretty much same situation and numbers. Makes no sense according to their figures.
You can appeal, my older daughter they under estimated her scholarship ( she is a Blue hen right now) so after we appealed they gave her more
Thank you! Was just surprising to see at first.
Has anyone heard if they released admission decisions tonight? Our application says still awaiting decision. Does that mean we arenāt getting in? We applied end of Oct. Any experience with Jan decisions?
Iām pretty certain they release decisions around 7pm so thereās definitely a possibility there will be decisions tonight.
Thanks how do you appeal ?
My son has all Aās lot of students go to UD from our HS and we got very little like 3k canāt afford 50k per year
We got accepted with in a week we applied applied on 10/27 accepted 11/4 one of first one got accepted strange we got peanuts
Son got no merit money. 3.7 unweighted GPA, school does not weight GPAs.
He submitted his SAT. Mid-1200s. Iām sure this is why he got no merit. Should have applied without scores.
Very disappointed. Probably unaffordable.
Go to UD website under financing your degree scroll down, you will see a button saying appeal financial aid then it will say how to appeal merit
Thank you
I think you have to accept offer to attend though, I may just call them after Jan 4 either way to argue it
Just tried clicking on Merit aid appeal it gives me access denied. Not sure why it doesnāt let me open
We were very excited our to hear tonight that our OOS D got 15,000. Our older daughter (now a junior at UD) didnāt get anything and was in top 10% of her class with many AP and all honors. Not one dime. Her SATās were slightly lower (1300) than my daughter who just was awarded money. Grades pretty much same.
Sad thing is the D who got no money (after appealing) is a junior with a 3.98 GPA(business) and never any scholarship money. Ugh.
Because I think we have to actual accept for admission thatās why I will call them Jan 4
Sure thank you so much for the advice
will call them on Jan-4
Totally strange we submitted scores 1330 not sure they considered or not so confused
I know my daughter 4.0 and a 31 act donāt get it
Wow that sounds crazy ā¦ you have to appeal those stats are really good
Exactly!! Honestly itās not my daughters first choice, but my older daughter loves it and if they gave my younger one the correct amount that they state on there website we would really have to convince her so will fight for it Jan 4th!!!
