Class of 2025 Admissions Decisions ONLY - University of Delaware

Did anyone hear tonight?

My daughter was accepted a few weeks ago, no word on Honors College yet but she got $17 K a year in merit. From Mo Co MD, 4.0 UW, 4.65 W, 1420 SAT, 9 APs (all 5s one 4).

My son heard just about an hour ago. Accepted.
OOS, Art & Sciences, our school has a weird 5.2 GPA scale so we didnā€™t enter, Did not submit test scores. Very strong course load this year - 5 APs, 1 Honors. 2 sports.
We applied 11/1 but didnā€™t complete the additional essays until 11/15.

@MMCA3dogs

Today my DD (OOS) also received the Destination Delaware $10k / year. Looks like thatā€™s a new one.

They recalculated GPA but donā€™t share how.

DDā€™s Best friend (OOS) received $15k merit / year, plus $5,500 needs based financial aid. Education major.

Anyone hear back that applied on coalition app

Accepted 11/13 for nursing
Recieved the Trustee 15k scholarship (OOS)
Waiting to hear back about Honors College

Could you share your stats? Curious as to what my D might get.

D accepted into nursing on 12/11 OOS and received the UD Trustee scholarship for $17,000.

Same questions as NJcollege2021. How did you appeal? Through email or phone and what information did you need to appeal? Thank you!

If i recall, it was 2 years ago, my daughter already committed I think then There was a appeal link under UD finances and in it I wrote how other schools gave more and her top choice was Delaware and her GPA should of been awarded the higher merit, If they canā€™t give more that would be the deciding reason to pull her out and decline offer. Iā€™m pretty sure you need to accept first bur I donā€™t remember so I will call Jan 4th to find out

D accepted 11/4, got 10K Destination Delaware scholarship. Havenā€™t heard about honors. 4.0 unweighted, 4.7 weighted GPA, 1390 SAT

My D21 had 35ACT and 4GPA UW with about 8-1o AP classes before this year. Applied to nursing.

Honors and world scholars just showed up on portal

They recalculate your gpa? What sense does that make? Do they share this magical gpa calculator? I didnā€™t work hard in HS for them to call my 3.7 a 3.5 and snub me $3,000-$4,000. I donā€™t understand their process and/or why it is not clearly expressed how they read my transcript and decided my grades were lower?

Not sure is it first time they are doing this recalculate GPA?

Not sure, Iā€™ve seen it posted by others, to my knowledge this is the first time because they arenā€™t taking the SAT/ACT into consideration for merit scholarships

My sons merit letter said based on ā€œthe academic information we currently haveā€. So I am not sure what they used for his scholarship but we are OOS and he received 19k which is more then I thought he was going to get.

Nice congrats !! Whatā€™s your stats ?
