You could absolutely get the 2+2 even if you select summer as an option. Summer at PSU is only slightly less competitive than UP for fall. In fact, the middle 50% they publish is for fall and summer starts combined together. So especially if you are on the low end of that middle 50%, summer is definitely on the table. If you can’t be admitted for fall and you can’t be admitted for summer, then they will offer you the 2+2.

We selected summer option but got fall start.
Yup that’s exactly what happened & I wish we knew otherwise we would have opted for summer. Live & learn.
