I may also be able to answer some Bard questions - even though my S graduated in 2014. But he developed such great relationships with his professors that one was at my house for dinner last night! (From the College, not the Conservatory.) My son wasn’t sure he wanted five years and a Double Degree either - but he knew he wanted stimulating academics, and a peer group passionately interested in areas other than music. In the end, it was the perfect place for him - I can’t imagine anywhere better. But that doesn’t mean it’s the right choice for everyone.

Bard is out! Daughter got in for composition with an unbelievable scholarship!! Very very excited right now. Helps to dull the pain of the Oberlin rejection. For me, at least. LOL
It’s a no from Bard here
S was waitlisted at Bard but did not apply to the con. His grades are pretty unspectacular, so not a shock. Congrats to all that got in, looks like a cool place to study.
D got into Bard and Mannes for VP today. Very nice although Bard is offering way more $ versus Mannes.
Fantastic!!! Congrats to you and your daughter!
I am sorry-- but thank you for sharing. Onward!!
Well done! And hooray for voice majors!
I’m sorry. I know he has lots of other great options!
Son got accepted to both Bard and Mannes for viola performance, both with great scholarships!
I’m so sorry!
Excellent! Congrats to you and your son!!
Congrats to her!!
That’s a lot of news for one day for many of us! A hearty congratulations to those with acceptances, and I know we’ll all find the right fit in the end. No big news here today (last Friday was major announcements, all good). Did just learn DD is on Colburn waitlist today is all.
thanks! now I’m just treating it like a rejection too haha since I haven’t heard back anything from them
Sorry!!! Better to be pleasantly surprised later, right?? There is definitely a chance that they treat those emails as “likely letters” and don’t send them to all admits!!
Do you know if/when Bard will assign a studio teacher? That would be a huge consideration in son’s decision.
Son was admitted MM-VP to Mannes.
Congratulations! That’s great news!
