Career goal(s): I’d like to own/run a financial advising business
Any else you’d like to mention: This was my first acceptance. Maybe I won’t end up going here, but really like the school, and it calms my nerves a lot to know that I’ve gott someone really great to go to college even if the rest of my admissions decisions don’t turn out that great.
@Percent99 Your D applied to Bama on Nov 20 and accepted on Nov 30? On your thread that is now closed you had people convincing you to apply to Bama (13 pages of advice) and you didn’t mention that she had applied and was accepted. You pretty much said you were trying to convince her.
This is from the thread you started on Nov 30. Copied and Pasted:
…And finally I am trying to do my best to have her have at least one back up. The one affordable choice I have (almost convinced her to apply to as Dad’s choice/just apply in time/to force to go there) is U of Alabama (full tuition/ generous AP credit if she wants to finish in 3 y and/or have a double major and/or have an MBA in 4 years + some money from mam and dad to go do whatever with little financial pressure)… But as it stands now Bama is something not touchable with a 10 (or 50 feet) pole for that matter… well I hope she at least finishes the apps till 15th of Dec. I have said enough, I am not saying a word more…if she chooses to break her own head so be it!
@mishk90 The notification came a week later for me, but I was accepted within a day (according to Bama portal). They closed December 22-ish. When did you apply?
