OK, the person who I asked my second recommendation (AP US teacher) said that she would like me to talk more in my new AP Euro class (taught by a different teacher)... I actually think I did participate in her class, but she doesn't think it's enough... Someone suggested that I should like participate a lot in one of my senior classes (english) and ask that teacher to write me my regular decision letters if I don't get accepted... Should I do that, or should I just ask my AP US history teacher from last year to write since I've already asked her?

Perhaps you should explore this comment a bit more with your AP US History teacher before deciding. If she thinks that some indication of a lack of participation in your AP Euro History class is going to make it into her recommendation (which seems kind of bizarre to me), then perhaps you should pass on that one. I also think it's okay for you to ask her that question since she has raised it in the context of your recommendation request.

She actually didn't raise it in the context of a reccomendation... When I when to her to ask, I did not ask right away. I asked how was her summer, and then she noticed that was in AP euro and that she would like for me to talk more in that class... I then asked her for the rec, and she said sure...

Your OP confused me.

So you are deciding between two options:

Apply ED and get a (possibly negative?) recommendation from your APUSH teacher

Wait until RD and get a more likely to be positive recommendation from your English teacher

If that analysis is correct, I would definitely go with option two. A negative or even mediocre recommendation in the ED round could get you flat out rejected (at top schools).

^I'm doing both... I'm getting a rec from my APUS teacher for ED and maybe get another one from my english teacher
