class rank drop OH NO

Throughout my junior, year (i am a rising senior) i have been number 3 in my class out of 70o (maybe a little more) students.
After this year was over, i ended with my first B, the only B i will have on my transcript.
My class rank dropped to 5/700
I am taking a summer comm college course which will most likely make me 4 by earlyaction time.
Do you think colleges will look at the difference in a bad way, instead of being three i am 4?
I am taking another ap online, which will most likely make me number 2 sal of my class, but it will happen after regular decision jan 1.
do you think itll make a difference?

All I can say is that you BETTER be a troll, because honestly the difference between 3 and 4 is soooooo outrageously trivial it makes me crazy. They are both excellent ranks, and either way you're in the top 1%, so keep that in mind.

looooooooool

I was 8 going into last year. I got a B in Calc BC, and dropped to 12. The spring semester I got all As, and then dropped to 14. It's because of band and debate. Still top 5%, class of 450.

I have a half credit from a non honors precalc course i still need to add in, and i will be taking Spanish at a local college. Those credits might raise my GPA a little. But I'm still stuck with 2 blocks of non honors classes next year. :(

you are perfectly fine btw. still very nice class rank

i feel bad for students in schools that include classes like debate and band for class rank

It discourages me from trying other classes. Although trying to take a rigorous schedule does that on its own, and nobody, including me, has an issue.

What I hate is seeing the drunkards taking their honors math classes and their easy non AP science honors classes and getting a higher GPA than me. Even though they are two years behind in math. Maybe class rank should have SAT or ACT figured into it aswell. haha

I think that being in the top band should warrant an honors credit. It's more work at a higher level.

We can take debate honors for the 5.0. But only once. And we are forced to take it every year after, which means higher workload, but without the 5.0.

Don't worry about it. It's trivial.
