We’re running into a brick wall here. Our senator insists that dd list a class rank. Well, she’s homeschooled, so that is a problem. We use an accrediting school out of Maine (NARS) but they do not rank. The lady at the senator’s office said we should ask our public school for a ranking. Um, we don’t have anything to do with them…she’s not enrolled there. What have other homeschoolers done?

I suppose you could go to a public school and ask them to see where your daughter would be if she was in school, as long as you have her GPA.

Nope, that won't work. Comparing apples to oranges.

Too bad your Maine accrediting school won't help you out. (FYI: Some private schools and public schools do not rank, either)

Good Luck,
CM

I'll see a couple of my homeschooling friends at church later today, I'll ask them.

Thanks. We're leaning towards writing 1/1--homeschooled.

Heheh...they might not appreciate that. Well, I don't know what state you're in, but I found out that in the great state of Texas, homeschoolers are automatically in the top 25%.

Hmm? Do you mean they tend to test that high or ???
