<p>If your high school does not rank, how does that work for the national buckeye award? </p>
<p>They will ask your counselor to write a letter that either qualitatively compares your performance to that of your classmates and/or give a likely range that you would fall in (like top ten or twenty percent).</p>
<p>I think for that award you just must be in the top forty percent so they may just ask him/her whether or not they believe you would fall in that range if your school did rank.</p>
