class rank?

<p>my school doesn't rank because of all the competition it would create. how do colleges figure out where i stand relative to the rest of my class? my GPA unweighted for the first 3 years of high school was 95.5...96.9 frosh, 93.7 soph, 96 jr</p>

<p>would the college call my guidance counselor and ask her?</p>

<p>my rank (based on looking at other people's GPA's) is about 10-15/425...is that on the low side for the top schools in the country (HYPMS)?</p>

<p>Your school would probably send the colleges a grade distribution for your school. My school doesnt rank either but it has percentages of students within each grade range.</p>

<p>they could probably figure out an appx range for you if they were familiar with your school or from your school profile. either way, you look like you're fine in that department.</p>
