If my grades 10-11 rank is much better than my grades 9-11 rank, and I sent both in, would they use the 10-11 rank? My 10-11 rank is around top 10% while my 9-11 is around top 30%. They only list class rank as 'considered', but only 2% of last year's freshman class were outside the top 25% of their class, so I'd probably get rejected because of that. So does anyone know how this works?

What's your Michigan GPA? Leave out your 9th grade GPA. And what is your ACT/SAT?

Mich GPA: 3.8
ACT: 28(31E,30M,21R,29S), retaking and hoping for a 30+
SAT: taking this October

You are an in-stater, your GPA/ACT are right around the mean. I would apply now and see what happens. At the worst, you will get deferred, but there is a decent chance you will get in. Michigan is a match for you.
