Chances for someone outside the top 10%

<p>I am a Junior and my UMich GPA is hopefully going to be a 4.0 at the end of this year. I have taken a hard course load with 7 APs and 8 honors since 9th grade. Unfortunately, in 8th (Included on my transcript) and 9th grade I got a good amount of B's (Around 5-6). Due to this I will probably fall short of the top 10% in my school. My SAT score is 2150+ and will hopefully improve when I retake it. My question is, will my rank hold me back for UMich?</p>

<p>Michigan only counts GPA soph/junior year; you should be fine...they don't care about class rank (unfortunately, my d figured that out the hard way....opposite scenario: great class rank, mediocre UMich GPA)</p>
