Class schedule junior year Help!

Hi guys! I know that it is important to take a rigorous course load in junior year (APs, Honors etc.) But what if due to schedule issues, and other grade issues, my course requests were not approved by my high school. What should I do at this point? Should I self-study the APs and take the tests in May?
All advices are appreciated!!!

If there is truly a scheduling issue then you can ask your guidance counselor to address it in his/her letter of recommendation to colleges. If you can’t take a class because you weren’t approved for it then that is another story entirely.

There was a bit of both scheduling and approval issue. What do you think I should do at this point do show colleges that I’m willing to challenge myself academically?

What classes did you take last year and what grades did you get for each?
What classes are you taking right now?
What APs are you thinking of?

You should only take classes where your teacher thinks you can get a B or higher in. No one’s impressed with a C in an AP class.

I’m taking 2 honors classes right now (highest level in that subject). And APUSH and APChem are the only 2 APs juniors can take. Should I just self-study the APs?

What were your classes in freshman and sophomore year and how did you do in them?
Be specific with your classes:
English:
Math:
Science:
Social science:
Foreign language:

I don’t quite remember because it was a while back, I transferred and there were multiple classes in each subject area— but in general, I did well freshman year, pretty bad sophomore year, and I have 9 honors classes so far (9-11th grade) and 1 AP (10-11th graders can only take 1-3 APs each year). I’m planning on self-studying some APs (4-5)

Others may disagree but I think your time and energy would be better spent elsewhere than studying for APs for classes you are not taking.

Why do you think that?

Colleges don’t really take AP test results into account for admissions…many AP tests senior year are taken after you are admitted. Also the number of AP classes offered per school varies so much.

I would not take AP Chem as a junior unless you had Bio, Chem and Physics already.

If you weren’t allowed to take the AP classes because of grades, then you aren’t ready for them.

Work hard and get A’s in your honors classes and take AP classes next year.
