Hello,
Today I went online to check how many of my ap credits transferred to UW for my incoming freshman year, and I got surprised when it stated I recieved 100 credits. Thus online it currently states I have a junior class standing. I was wondering if there is any particular importance of class standing during application for classes? Additionally, during A&O would they help sort what classes I should be signing up for.

Yep, your advisors during the A&O will help you out with what classes you should/can/can’t take for whatever major you plan on committing to at the UW. Your class standing will affect some one the classes you can take, as in you will ave more options being a junior as opposed to a Freshman; when you look at some of the class descriptions some will say “No Freshman”, so that benefits your significantly.

However, keep in mind UW expects you to have a major chosen by 105 credits. I am not quite sure how this will affect you, but I am also in the same boat as I am transferring with 100 credits, so I am also a little concerned about how the 105 credit thing might affect me. From what I have been told by others, this shouldn’t have a huge impact or detriment to the time you have to compete your degree. Everything should get ironed out at the A&O!
