Do classes start a little later than scheduled so that students have time to get from class to class? I have a 10 minute passing period, is it too short of a time?

No, unless your professor is running late (which is rare), they will always start class on time. They do not know what other classes students have before that class, because it depends on the student. Some students could have a class right before or right after, while others may not have a class before a particular class. If you have a bike, 10 minutes between classes is plenty of time to bike to your next class. If you don’t have a bike, I suggest leaving your previous class early so you can get to your next class on time, unless you don’t mind sitting in the back.

It’s a great big tossup. Some professors will be nice and start class a minute or so late, some are horrible at keeping time (had one waltz in fifteen minutes into a fifty minute midterm), and others will be strict on time and arrive on time (usually because they absolutely NEED to cover x topics before the end).

Ten minutes may be all you need - it depends on what buildings you’re traveling in between and how. Giedt to Kemper or Bainer? Yup. Giedt to Physics? If you cut through the Bainer side entrance. Giedt to Wellman? Stretching it. Giedt to Death Star? Only by bike.
