classes for bim major?

ok so im an incoming freshman and i have no idea what classes to choose, let alone for a business information management major. can someone please give me some insight? and will it be hard to get classes because im enrolled for spop6? thanks and God bless.

I actually switched into BIM from CS last year. Business Information Management (BIM) is the combination of Computer Science (CS) and Business Administration (BA). I was in SPOP 6 before my freshman year and I still got classes.

If you look at the UCI general catalogue: <a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>http://www.editor.uci.edu/catalogue/11-12Catalogue.pdf</a> and on page 369 is has information about BIM and a projected class schedule.

Here’s the sample plan for freshmen:

FALL WINTER SPRING
Freshman
Informatics 41 Informatics 42 Informatics 43
Math 2A Math 2B Math 6G
UC Entry Level Writing Gen. Ed. (I) Gen. Ed. (I)
Gen. Ed. (VI)

Sorry, the formatting sucks but bascially you’ll take In41, Math 2A (Or Math 1B) and Writing 39B (If you passed the entrance requirement)

I’d recommend taking FIP (first year integrated program), they’ll explain it at SPOP but basically you get credit for 4 classes with 3 and don’t have to take the Writing 39C (research paper) which I heard sucks.

I hope this helps a bit but if you have more questions then ask away.
