Classes Next Year

Ok, I am going to be a Junior next year at a small Catholic School and I need a bit of help picking classes. I know what i want to take somewhat, but some guidance would help.

So far i know i want to take Religion 3, Pre-Calculus Honors, Spanish 3 Honors, APUSH, and the classes i am not sure of are my science and english. For english i have the choice of: AP Bio, AP Chem, Physics Honors, or Physiology/Anatonmy Honors. For Enlgish i can take English 3 Honors, or AP Lang and Comp. I am wondering which science course would be enjoyable and not extremely hard, and insight on AP Lang & Comp.

Thanks

What subjects are you more interested in?

A lot of it depends on the school, really. Do you know which teachers will teach which classes next year? How hard are the science APs at your school; what's the average score on the AP tests?

AP over honors =)
If possible take both Physics Honors -and- another AP science.

Take AP Language. It's amazing; I learned so much rhetoric last year, it was definitely the best English class I've ever taken. Honors English just seems to focus on literary analysis, but AP Language really delves into the techniques and fallacies of rhetorical writing.

What colleges are you hoping to get into?

the teacher that teaches AP Chemistry is the same teacher that teaches Chemistry this year who i have. He is extremely boring and most all but two students failed AP Chem last year. But its an easy A so it could boost my GPA. The AP Bio teacher is relatively new so i dont know anything about him. As is the physics teacher.

I am hoping to get into a higher level college. havent narrowed it too much.

I'd probably go with AP Lang and AP Bio/Physics if you don't like the Chem teacher, but I prefer English to science so that's just me. If you like science more, take an AP science course and maybe not AP Lang.

if you didnt take a physics class i strongly recommend that you take physics, even if it is an honors course (which i still consider very good). colleges like that you take at least 1 yr of bio, chem, and physics, and physics isnt too bad (at least not the mechanics part). plus, you'll have senior year to take whatever science you want.

I am not positive we are offering AP Bio. Because they have been alternating between chemistry and bio. But on the course catalog it is listed so possibly. I do feel AP Lang is a good course for me. I enjoy reading and it will definently help my writing skills.

If you are planing on entering a science major most colleges see a course in physics as a requirement. Most people on CC will say "Ohh, take the AP class it will look better". You need to take the three major sciences while in high school to be a competitive candidate for any prestigious school.

Yup, take Hon. Physics. Since it's not certain that AP Bio will be offered next year (given the history of alternating Chem/Bio), then there's a greater chance that it will be offered the year after, and you can take it then. I mean, If you already dislike the AP Chem teacher, the class will be living hell for you - plus, if you fail the AP exam (nothing on you, of course, but the teacher doesn't seem to have a very good track record) it's not going to look very pretty either. Physics is a core science class, required by many colleges, and not terribly difficult.

I have decided to take physics honors, because I need thebthtee standard sciences; and I plan on taking AP Bio senior year likely. I have also decided to take AP Lang
