Classes to take to prepare for art?

I have a pretty good feeling that I want to pursue a major in visual arts/ illustration/ animation. But what sort of classes should I take to get a better chance to get accepted (since I'm sure I'll have to support my portfolio)?

I'm a junior.

Here's my schedule this year:
Painting II
APUSH
AP English Comp
NJROTC I
Pre-Calculus
Physics

I've only gotten one B so far in high school. Also I will try to be involved in more extra-curriculars like art and ceramics club, or at least more community service with NJROTC.

Next year I plan on taking Anatomy and AP Art Studio. Should I take AP chem, AP Calculus?

Any suggestions?

Ask me if you need more info.

Also, should I take AP Art History next year?

AP Art history is fun, take it. It exposes you to all different styles and genres of art too, to get your inspiration flowing
