to dapple:
i got wait listed at lawrenceville and i really wanted to go. do you have any advice to get off the waitlist? i mean i think that we share really similar qualities like i have a lot of community service, i played piano, i mean im also a girl who is chinese and goes to a public school. the only major thing that i would say is different is the ssat score(i got a 90% overall) and the interview because i think my interview person just about hated me(or he didnt seem to excited at least). for stuff like recommendations and essays, i have no idea what they think of it, but i worked hard on it. so anyway do you have any advice, i really want to get in. or maybe i’ll never get in because they want to keep the student population diverse so…please help. i love lawrenceville so much too!!!

Bump.

This was an interesting thread, IMO. Not that any of the info will change where my D applies to this year, but…I know this is the sort of thing that people in application mode would go for.

bump. I like this thread, it’s very helpful. But there weren’t many applicants from Mburg, EHS, Kent, or Westminster, which are my top choices.

Wonder how it feels like to get accepted :D

BUMP.
but this is superrr helpful. i could spend hours just scrolling down, reading people’s stats. i will make sure to post my stats and results after march this year.

Was your school a good public school? And did you come from NYC?

Glad everyone is finding this thread so helpful. Remember, there’s no straight formula for admission to any of these schools - hopefully this thread is helping to illustrate that.

Keep up the good work!
