cleaning/maintaining private bathrooms

Do people who live in a suite with a private bathroom have to buy everything for it themselves? Like, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc?

When my daughter had a single with a shared bath, they brought their own cleaning supplies, but toilet paper was kept in a closet they could access… industrial sized rolls, so the kind you usually buy wouldn’t fit the holder on the wall. They did keep a few rolls for emergencies though.

I just looked at the facilities site and it says:

Your Room or Suite
Custodial Services are not provided for your room or suite; cleaning is your responsibility. We recommend having your own cleaning supplies on hand (a broom and dust pan, window cleaner, general purpose cleaner, and paper towels).

Private Bathrooms within Suites
If your suite has its own bathroom, supplies will be provided to you for cleaning it. When you need additional supplies, simply call Facilities Customer Service at (609) 258-8000 and extra supplies will be delivered to your room.

My daughter doesn’t know anyone who actually did this.

She says she’d rather have her own stuff.

I had a private bath last year. I would recommend getting cleaning supplies yourselves. The ones provided for us were never in the supply closet or got really gross by the end of the year.

^
Just out of curiosity, how big were the bathrooms?

yeah i was wondering that too… as in how many toilets/sinks/showers are there in a big suite?

I was in a suite with 5 other people last year (and I will be with the same people in a different suite this coming year). You do need to get your own cleaning supplies because you will be responsible for keeping the bathroom tidy. But as far as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand-soap are concerned, you can put a note outside your suite door asking cleaning services to give you some more of those supplies.

And the bathrooms aren’t huge, but they aren’t bad. We never had any conflicts last year in our suite. A typical private bathroom has 1 toilet, 2 sinks, and 1 shower.

In an 8 person suite, we had 2 sinks, 1 shower, and 1 toilet. We just put a note on the door when we needed more toilet paper, and bought our own cleaning supplies. The toilet is in a stall inside the bathroom so someone can come in to brush their teeth or something while another person is using the bathroom.

I was in a quad with its own bathroom (in New Butler, which is the only place that has those I think), and we had toilet paper in a closet on the hall but you had to provide other stuff. Our bathroom was pretty big, but 1 shower, 1 sink, 1 toilet.
