<p>How long does it take for the NCAA to clear a kid for play? </p>
<p>My D did not register with the NCAA previously because frankly, she hadn't been recruited to play. Long story short, however, she was approached by the coach, went to a practice or two and was subsequently invited to play on the team. However, she had to register with the NCAA for clearance. She filled out the online form, paid the fee, and her high school faxed her completed transcript to them Last thursday. So I was just wondering how long this last step usually takes so she can play. She missed out on a fall tournament this weekend because the school can't put her on the official roster until she gets clearance. And if you're not on the official roster, they aren't paying for you to travel with the team, let alone play on the field.</p>
