My D is more than qualified with the NCAA rules, and she has done everything she should as far as registering with the NCAA at the start of her junior year, having her ACT scores sent, and requested her counselor send the NCAA her transcripts on the very first day her end of junior year transcripts were available (end of June!) However, despite that request and numerous followup reminders asking for confirmation that it was sent over the summer, her school's guidance office did not take care of sending her transcripts! Finally about 10 days ago, finally got someone to admit they "thought" they had been sent, but perhaps not. ACK! As of today, 9 days after her school said they sent it this time, her NCAA account is still showing that her transcript is the only thing outstanding. She has her first trip scheduled for two weeks from tomorrow and the college was supposed to be buying her a plane ticket.
She sent the college her transcript directly, but is this going to be a problem for them to buy her plane ticket because while she is in fact "registered" with the NCAA, the NCAA is showing her status "not yet determined" because of the outstanding transcripts? I've tried to research this and what I've found uses the word "registered" with going on OVs, and the word "cleared" to actually start playing your first year. So fingers crossed thats the case.

The NCAA says they accept electronic transcripts through several services which are processed in 24 hours, but I'm guessing my D's school will say they don't do this.
Thanks for letting me rant....I am so frustrated with her school's terrible guidance dept. We had been warned ahead of time so I thought we were so proactive starting early and following up but clearly that wasn't enough. sigh
