For 2009, the national average GPA of students matriculating in DO schools was 3.53. For Clemson students accepted to a DO school, the average GPA was 3.56. However, the national average GPA of students accepted to MD schools was somewhat higher at 3.66. For Clemson students accepted to MD schools, the average GPA was higher still, at 3.72. Students applying to DO schools will take the same MCAT as students applying to allopathic schools. The national average MCAT score of students matriculating in DO schools was 25.9. For accepted Clemson students to DO schools, the average MCAT was 26.9. Again, the national average MCAT for students accepted to MD schools was higher at 29.1. <p>I can’t find those detailed stats anymore on the Clemson website but it says that 44% of Clemson students who apply to medical schools are accepted (41% for dental schools)</p>
