Clemson vs. Virginia Tech vs. University Of Pittsburgh

Your first choice should be Virgina Tech, but then I would pick Pittsburgh. Sounds like to me you should just forget Clemson.

alright so Virginia Tech seems to be the consensus, I'll definitely take a 2nd look at Penn State

how about the University Of Washington? im willing to travel now if its worth it.

bump....10char

Washington is okay. It sounds like you really like Pittsburgh so I would just wait to see if you get into Virgina Tech. If not, then go to Pittsburgh.

I don't think you should be so quick to cross off GA Tech because you think it will be difficult. An engineering major at VA Tech is going to be extremely demanding, too. If you can handle one, you can probably handle the other, and GA Tech gets you into a city.

Just be forewarned when going to VT that first, an the engineering program is extremely rigorous. My brother is currently enrolled there and has had to work very hard to stay afloat.
Second, there is very little to do in blacksburg other than parties and bars. I live in blacksburg and you should realize that if you really crave an urban feel you're gonig to have to look elsewhere.

Clemson has it all! Great weather, a great engineering program, and friendly tight knit community. This school has been a great experience for my son who is an engineering major and is participating in the coop program. This is a very happy school with the right balance of work and fun.
