Question: Does anyone know what happens via the “hack” if you are being denied admission from Clemson? Do denials wait until 2/15 also? I have three Tiger wannabes but from the acceptances thread, I am not very hopeful. I’m beside myself because the kids want Clemson so much and so do I.
Sorry I can’t help you with your question, but I’m not sure why you are losing hope. Our son has not heard back yet, the hack is not working for him, but we have been told and know from past years that the majority of offers do not go out until the February deadline (week of 2/15). Just keep thinking positive thoughts and the February date will be here soon enough. Clemson is by far our son’s number 1 choice and he is feeling really good about his chances.
@4n2yrs I can’t say for sure, but it would make sense to me that it would just continue to say “unable to determine status” forever and just not change. Because it is a housing portal, it should only change for those who gain admission to register for housing.
I have caved and checked the hack a few times, but I am vowing to stop checking it from this point forward. I do not want to know until my son receives either the big envelope or the small envelope in the mailbox. If he gets in I want to celebrate that moment WITH him, not before him. If that hack never changes I don’t want to live in stress panicking and checking it every hour while I wait for a small white envelope denying him. Sounds like a week of misery! It is what it is and we will deal with it together in that moment. It won’t be long until we all know thank goodness :).
@Zline Are you guys in state? How are your son’s GPA and test scores? What’s his major? I wish I could be confident but I don’t want to get excited and have my heart broken. Also, worrying and needing THREE acceptances is brutal! At this point, I’d give anything to have them admitted.
@4n2yrs Out of State, 30 ACT, 3.7 Weighted (HS gives +1 for AP, +.25 for honors), Business, HS does not rank. Fully understand your anxiety. However, there is nothing you can do so we just sit back, have a positive attitude and wait. Decisions will be out in 16 days or less. Truly hoping things go well for all of us! If not, my attitude is the sun will still come up on 2/16 and we will move to plan B.
Does anyone know if the hack ever shows something different than the code request or decision not determined?
@4n2yrs go to http://clemson.edu/futuretigerday and use your CUID # and it will tell you
