Clep Credit Question

I go to Community College and got a d on my history class, a d is not transferable to the university I plan to attend. Can I just take the Clep and will that replace my d? or do I have to retake the class? am I still eligible to take the History Clep and have it count?

Not sure, but definitely only if the school accepts clep to begin with.

Yes they accept clep both cc and the university, but I am just not too sure how clep works, I am SURE that I can pass the history clep, it just that I got a d in my class for not completing an assignment that I didn't know was going to count as 15% of the class so I got a zero. It was my fault for not paying more attention.

Check with the university- while it may accept clep, it may not accept clep from a class you've already taken, whether or not you got an F or D.

Just to update in case someone has the same problem. I called the university and they said that I had to retake the class again since I already took it and got a d the clep would not substitute the d. :-(

Bummer!!! I would have guessed you would be able to CLEP this.
