Do you consider CLEP exams useless???

If you get credit for a class, how can it be useless? I just haven't heard of too many people taking them.

many schools dont use them anymore cause its extremely easy to just "BS" on them and get 50/80 and get 3 credit hours...

and AP/IB exams are far more prestigious than the CLEPs..
and no one in my school ever took them...

CLEP & CPEP exams are used frequently by ''older'' students - non-traditional students - as some can be used to test knowledge in a certain subject based on experience - so very few 'normal' college aged students use them.

Variace - not sure how you mean ''BS" on them ??? Some of those exams are pretty tough!!! and have no real relationship to IB programs at all.

To the OP: You use a lot of "..." and you also have about 6 threads on here by yourself.

Getting back to your point :p it can't hurt to try the CLEP exams, and if a test was useless, I don't see why it would exist. If you are able to score high, it can only help, right? And if you find AP exams, more prestigious, why not take them too?

A lot schools don't offer credit for good CLEP scores, so I'd wait until you're admitted to a school to take them. It would be a waste of time and money to take them now and then not have them count for anything.
