Clep

On College Board's College Search tool, there is an option to select only colleges that give credit for CLEP. Most of them say they do, but College Board doesn't have the specifics on their website. The required scores for placement and credit are listed only for the largest universities.

I guess what I'm saying is I would like to know more about CLEP itself, and how universities treat it. CLEP isn't really discussed a lot on here, so it makes me wonder if these are tests worth taking.

CLEP is for certain colleges only. I was interested in taking them but ended up not doing so. Its a computerized test that is taken at a test place (I think ours is at the UofMN) and then right after you get your results. According to your school a certain score is passing. The schools that I intially looked at didn't have CLEP offered, only the UofMN. Research your schools and see if they have a CLEP policy. It should be listed with AP/IB credits. If you are CC'er...they likely may not. But don't quote me on any of this.

Well, on College Board, on each school's profile it has a place for this. For almost every college I've looked at, it says "Gives Credit for CLEP: Yes"

But only certain colleges list what scores are required, and most of them (if not all) were state universities, like OSU.
