Cliffs AP Bio mistake

am i reading it the wrong way, or did cliffs make a mistake in describing dna replication in the section on molecular genetics. I thought that DNA polymerase moved in the 5' to 3' direction. Does that mean that it the replicated strand is growing 5 to 3 and that dna polymerase attaches nucleotides to the template strand (which would be 3 to 5). or is it the other way around....
help thanks

It means that the DNA polymerase can only add to the 3' end. so the replicated strand is going from 5' to 3'. The explanation in cliffs is right, or at least mine is (3rd edition)
